What Kind of Camper are YOU?

Published on Jan 22, 2024

What kind of camper are you? Camping comes in many different forms. Some consider camping an activity that involves hiking into the middle of nowhere and sleeping under the stars whereas others prefer Glamping (Glamorous Camping). It’s important for you to know what type of camper you are, as well as know the people also going on the RV Trip. That way, you can design a schedule to make sure everyone has an enjoyable time.

“Captain of the Outdoors”

Do you enjoy navigating the back country by the position of the sun? Fishing for your dinner, building your fire out of sticks that you rub together until it’s lit, or having all the latest camping gear; might qualify you as a “Captain of the Outdoors” camper!

“The Glampy Camper”

This individual enjoys long hot showers and a nice cup of coffee in the morning. They come prepared with all the at-home essentials. You won’t catch this type of camper using a porta potty, nothing but the comforts and privacy of home for their bathroom visits. And you better believe they will make sure all of their electronics are fully charged before departing on their outdoor adventure. At night, they can be found binging Netflix.

“The Traveling Camper”

If the thought of having to live in one place drives you bonkers, you might be a “Traveling Camper.” These people prefer an RV to an apartment and the open road to the normal day-to-day. Often they are the type of RVer that moves every couple of days to check out more of this great country. If you know how many states you’ve visited in an RV, you may be a Traveling Camper. And if this is you, don’t forget to keep your RV in great condition by visiting our RV service center for any needed maintenance. Even try signing up for our classic coverage service so you can focus on the road and leave your worries behind!

“The Yamper”

Also known as the “Yard Camper.” This is the camper who never leaves their own backyard. The RV is parked in the driveway and the kids’ tent is pitched in the grass nearby. They enjoy the feeling of camping without the hassle of traveling or taking time from their busy schedule to take a long weekend at a campground. Another great reason to Yamp is if you’re getting the rig out for the season and want to make sure that everything is in proper working condition.
